Niyyah

Niyyah is a marriage-intent dating app for Muslims. Users create a profile (first name, age, city, a short bio, their intention such as "marriage within a year", their level of practice, optional guardian/wali contact, and interests), optionally upload up to six photos, then browse other members one card at a time and choose to connect or skip. When two people both choose to connect, a match is created and they can message each other. Matching is strictly reciprocal — nobody is matched by an algorithm's dice roll. ACCOUNTS: yes. On first use the app creates an anonymous account automatically when the user completes onboarding; no email or password is required to start. All of a user's data is tied to that account. PHOTOS AND MODERATION: photos are resized in the app before upload and stored in a private bucket. A newly uploaded photo is not visible to any other user until a human operator reviews and approves it. Users can see the review state of their own photos and can delete any of them at any time. SAFETY: every profile can be reported and blocked from inside the app. Reporting also blocks. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed by the operator, who can hide a profile. Minimum age is 18 and it is enforced at onboarding. MONETIZATION: subscriptions and one-off purchases through Google Play Billing. Two subscription tiers (Plus and Gold, monthly) raise daily like limits and unlock seeing who liked you and filters. Two consumables: a Boost pack and a pack of five super likes. Purchases are verified server-side against Google Play before anything is granted. Subscriptions renew automatically and are managed and cancelled in the user's Google Play account, not in the app. There is a free tier that works without paying. ACCOUNT DELETION: available inside the app under Settings, with a confirmation step. It permanently deletes the profile, photos, matches, messages, wallet and the account identity itself. It is not a deactivation. PERMISSIONS: photo/media selection for uploading profile pictures. No camera background access, no location tracking (city is typed by the user, not read from GPS), no contacts, no microphone. NO ADVERTISING. There is no ad SDK in the app.
