Delete your data

You can delete your Niyyah account and everything in it yourself, from inside the app. You do not need to ask us and you do not need to explain why.

In the app — the fastest way

Open Niyyah.
Go to Settings (the last tab).
Scroll to Safety.
Tap Delete account and data.
The button changes to Yes — delete everything. Tap it again to confirm.

That is it. It happens immediately.

What gets deleted

Your profile — name, age, city, bio, intention, practice, guardian contact, interests
All of your photos, removed from storage as well as from the database
Every connection you made and every match
The messages inside those matches, on both sides
Your subscription entitlement record and purchase history in our database
Your account identity itself

It is a deletion, not a deactivation. There is no hidden copy waiting to be restored, and we cannot bring it back if you change your mind. People you had matched with will no longer see the conversation.

What may survive, and why

If you were reported and we acted on it, we may keep the moderation record. That is what stops a banned account from being recreated to reach the same person again. It contains the report and the action taken, not your profile.

Google keeps its own record of any purchase you made. That is Google's, under Google's policy — we cannot delete it for you.

Cancelling a subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first:

Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Niyyah → Cancel.

If you delete the account without cancelling, Google will keep charging you.

If you cannot use the app

Write to [email protected] from the address you want us to act on, or tell us the first name and city on the profile, and we will delete it for you. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner.
